AllBeauty.com Haul

I am in a bit of a love/hate relationship with allbeauty.com. I love them because they almost always have a really good sale on and their prices are so good but I hate them because they almost always have a really good sale on and their prices are so good so I end up sending to much money but on the other hand I might be spending more money than I planned to I like to think that Im saving money in the long run since its prices are really good.

So I had just been paid from work and I was checking my E-mails and found an allbeauty.com E-mail telling me they had a sale on for skin care and I really do like my skin care so obviously I had to go and check it out.

Yes I did end up buying make-up as well but I have been looking for these eyeshadow palettes for some time now. I have been hearing they are dupes for the Urban Decay Naked palettes and I admit I dont have the Urban Decay Naked palettes but the W7 palettes are really nice and cream and they have a really nice colour pay out so it makes my think why pay so much for an Urban Decay palette when the W7 palettes are so good.

Im still not 100% sure how I feel about this, the cream is really nice and hydrating with out leaving the skin feeling greasy but if Im going to spend so much money on something I would like it to feel and look expensive but for me this just dues not. The cream itself like I said it nice but again I dont think its so nice where I believe its worth so much money.

I have not tried this yet so I cant comment about how I feel about it but I have swatched it on my hand and it feels creamy and smooth, the colour I got was light and its pinky/peach so it should be really good at hiding under eye dark circles. On the back of the box it says there is oat extract in it and oats are really good for the skin. The packaging is plastic yet nice and simple and for the price of it Im happy with it.

I have been wanting to try GlamGlow for sometime now but at £49.99 its a lot of money just for a face cream and then what if I did not like it so when I saw it on allbeauty.com for £33.95 I just thought why not Im probably not going to get it any cheaper. When I first saw it in its blue box I was surprised because I thought it was going to be smaller and yep it was small, its a lot of packaging for 50ml but it looks beautiful, worth ever penny and the cream is so good to. I would pay £33.95 again for it but £49.99 I dont know its alot of money but it is a fantastic cream.

Finally I have got Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat. It looks and feels expensive, the produced leaves your eyes looking brighter and more awake. I still have some testing to do with it but Im really like it right now.

If you have tried any of the products I got please leave a comment below, I would love to hear what you think.

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed.

Quick Fix Facials Mega Moisture Mask

I first showed this face mask in my very first haul, I got drawn in by the fun bright packaging and by the name. There is 7 different face makes by Quick Fix Facials and they all do different things, there is ones for oily skin, sensitive skin and this one for dry skin.

The product is a thick milky clay consistency and is very easy to apply to the skin. The smell is really nice, its sweet but not sickly sweet and not to strong.

This has Hyaluronic Acid in it with is really good to help replace moisture back in to the skin, its also got Vitamin E which will help keep the skin in good condition because its full of antioxidants and its got Marine Collagen too and this will help the skin retain moisture and elasticity.

The directions on the back of the pack say you should smooth a thick layer onto the skin and leave for 5 to 10 minutes to infuse the skin with goodness then remove with warm water or gently wipe away with a warm damp flannel or cloth. I have done this when my skin is dry and has not got an eczema flare up and when it has had an eczema flare up. When its just a wee bit dry I do think this is a really nice quick face mask to use when you are getting ready for work in the morning or just getting ready to go out and dont have much time, even if you just leave it on for 5 minutes I do think it helps the skin. When I have used this on a eczema flare up it has helps to calm the skin and did not make it worse.

I have also found another way to use it which I really like to do, I put some on before bed and use it as an over night treatment. I always feel like my skin looks so much more hydrated when I do this and I have had no bad side effects from doing it.

Since I got mine they have changed the name to Quick Fix Facials Mega Moisture Gel Mask but I have checked the ingredients and its completely the same.

So the packaging is fun and the product smells nice and works, I would recommend this face mask and I will get more.

Have you tried any of the Quick Fix face masks? Did you like them or not? Please let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading.

My August Diary And August Favourites

I don't know if it was just me but August just went past so fast, still no summer though, I don't think we are going to get one this year. I was on holiday for 2 weeks from work so that was very nice. I did not really get up to much though but its just really nice to get time off from work, don't you think? I did go away for a weekend with my best mate and yes there was shopping, wine and food involved. We went to this wee Italian restaurant for dinner, the food was so good, I would be more than happy to go back and yes the wine was very yummy too. We stayed at the Ibis hotel and I would stay there again, the rooms were so clean and I had a really nice view from my room. The staff were so nice and helpful, I could not of asked them to be nicer. My friends view from her room was of a wall but again the room was clean and tidy so I think she forgave them.

Back to work now and I have already booked my next holiday for November. A week in Amsterdam, I was there last November and I could not believe how nice it is there even though it did rain for most of the time I was there.

Here is all my beauty favourites for August.

I hope everyone has a good September.

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream

I love wearing skinny jeans and boots but when your as mad as I am and wear boots in the summer your feet need some really good TLC. I normal find foot creams can make my eczema prone feet sting when I use them so I did not hold much hope for this.

I first tried this foot cream at Christmas in a Burt's Bees gift set and really enjoyed using it so I decided to buy the full size. The first time I used it I did think it was a wee bit odd, it feels more like a gel than a cream and its got a weird smell, I do think you can smell the coconut in it but I feel like it also smells of something else that I cant put my finger on.

In the ingredients it says there is oats in it and thats really good, I love anything to do with skincare that has oats in it because oats are really good for moisturising the skin and helps to relive itchy skin.

I really saw a difference when I used it, my feet felt so much softer and looked so much better. I think this cream would be really good for anyone that is having problems with their feet. I also think this worked better then any creams I have been given to me from the doctors for my eczema.

When I first got the full size of this foot cream I thought that it was not going to last me that long but a little really dues go a very long way and I can see myself getting more then this one runs out.

Please leave a comment below if you have any questions about about this foot cream or if you have tried it.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this post.

Becoming a Blogger

Hey everyone. So I hosted another Lunchtime Bloggers chat on Wednesday 26th August and this time I picked the topic Becoming a Blogger. Here is some of the answers to the questions I asked.

1. What made you become a blogger?

I said I wanted my own thing, away from work and normal life.

Dani said I wanted a place to share my thoughts and experiences,  and I was reading so many amazing blogs, I decided to join in!

Katie said I didn't have anything to do one day and decided to write.....haven't looked back since :)

Amani Carson said I can't remember specifically but have always loved writing & have always had a need to express myself creatively.

Kathryn  said  My passion for writing, wanting a new hobby and wanting to share my thoughts with people!

Izzy said I always wanted to write and do something creative. I concidered YouTube but after guest blogging I started my own blog.

ShelbyAmess said  I love writing and having a blog can help me do much bigger things with my writing :)

2. How long were you thinking about being a blogger before you became one?

I said Well over a year. Was a bit scared to start at first.

Clementine Cousins said I remember reading a few blogs, wasn't really that many about then, but loved reading them and knew I wanted to make one :-)

Gracie said I always wrote little stories when I was younger and lived on YouTube I think it was inevitable.

Kathryn said Since I was 16..(I'm 20 now), I just never quite knew how to do it and had a lot of self doubt.

Dani said I had a blog in 2011, it had a grand total of 4 posts! Then, last year I just got the notion to start a new one again!

Shy life living said Probably over 2 years but I just put it off, glad I did though because I think I started it at the right time.

Amani Carson said  I toyed on & off since I was 13 & started many blogs on various platforms over the years! It only recently stuck.

Eloise said  I think it was around 2 years before I actually started, I waited until I was 16.

Antonia SP said It didn't took me long. One day I just logged in and that's how it began :)

3. How did you feel when you were posting your first blog post?

I said Very nervous, it did take me some time to post it after I made it but I also felt really happy.

MsMistry said I honestly wasn't too bothered because I thought 'No on is going to read this!'

Kathryn said Nervous as I only showed my mum&best friend at first, but they liked it so it gave me the boost to share it on social media.

Izzy said I felt watched. I wasn't sure whether I could really be myself yet. But now I'm writing whatever I want.

Theflowerthatblooms said We were super excited, although we thought nobody would read it.

Eloise said I think I was a little nervous, but as I actually started with a friend it wasn't that bad.

Dani said I can't remember, I think I just wrote, posted & that was it! I didn't have any followers so it didn't feel like a big deal.

Amani Carson said I think I was excited!

4. How did you feel telling friends and family and did they understand?

I said Again nervous. Some friends were happy and got it but some friends thought it was a joke.

Theflowerthatblooms said Only close family members and close friends know! We do not share our blog on personal accounts.

MsMistry said I've only told my best friend so far who loved it. I just want this to be my thing for a little while longer.

Kathryn said Fine! My friends that have read it enjoy my writing so I feel really motivated.

Cherie Koh said They're pretty chill about it, my only concern is when it comes to work and people finding out!

5. What do you think you have improved at doing since becoming a blogger?

I said My writing and confidence.

Theflowerthatblooms said Photography, our confidence a little bit and our writing flows more now just like when we were at school.

Shy life living said My photography has improved I think because that's one thing I've been working on most.

Dani said Finding joy in the small things! I take more notice of the world around me now than I did before.

Kathryn said My confidence and maybe my organisation (sort of?? maybe??)

Margot said Photography for sure .. And keeping a schedule, posting regularly since that is so important!

MsMistry said My writing has improved as has my social media skills. But it's also made me a bit more confident & appreciative.

ShelbyAmess said My confidence has grown an I'm starting to believe in myself :)

  6. What blogging platform would you recommend to new bloggers? Blogger or WordPress? Or any others you can think of?

I said I have only used blogger so I dont know what the others are like but its ok.

Cherie Koh said Really depends on how you like the interface - though I have to say WordPress is slightly more technical.

Shy life living said I've only use blogger, so I guess that because it's really easy.

Eloise said I've only ever used Blogger, I think its a great one to try as its not too complicated.

Theflowerthatblooms said We made a site on blogger and hated it so quickly changed to WordPress to start our blog!

Amani Carson said I started with wordpress but couldn't get my head around it so moved to blogger!

MsMistry said Wordpress! My first blog was with blogger and I wasn't too keen WP is miles better and more user friendly.

Thanks so much to everyone that came to the chat. If your were not there then I hope you liked the post and hopefully you found something helpful.

Blogging, Work and Real Life

Hey everyone. So on Wednesday 19th August I hosted the Lunchtime Bloggers chat and the topic that I picked was Blogging, Work and Real Life. Below is the questions I asked the bloggers that came to the chat and some of the answers they gave. I thought I would put it in to a blog post for anyone that missed the chat and hopefully it might help some new bloggers too.

1. Do you work full time? If yes do you find is hard to find time to blog?

Mellifluous said Yep, I work full time and finding time to blog whilst having a social life is hard!

MsMistry said I work part time so am quite lucky that I have spare time to work on my blog.

Amanda Maria said Its just a tough one, I'd love to work part time to have more time to blog & for myself but money!!!

2. Do you always blog on your days off or when you have finished work so you can enjoy your days off?

Mellifluous said Not everyday. I do check Twitter and read others posts everyday though.

Becci Brown said Try and set aside time for blogging to write as much as I can then schedule posts or tweak later.

Amanda Maria said I would say a mix of both, I try and keep my days off free so I can do things, but sometimes I end up blogging!

Simona Elena said I do both, whenever I feel like it and have time!

3. Do you schedule blog posts so you have some days off or do you post them as soon as you have made them?

Carina Chung said SCHEDULE SCHEDULE SCHEDULE! I seldom hit publish immediately once a post is done. Thats because I write 2 -3 posts on days I'm free, and none the other days!

Amanda Maria said Most of the time its scheduled, but there are some that are published in the moment.

Simona Elena said Most of my posts are scheduled, esp. the book reviews and bookish 1s, I leave slots open for spontaneous 1s.

Katie said Bit of both :) depends whats happening that week :) I love to hit publish :)

MsMistry said I schedule all my posts. So much easier.

Mellifluous said I tend to schedule as I post every 2 days so it makes life easier whilst I create more content.

4. Do you find making a to-do list helps?

Simona Elena said Yes! I love lists, I have lists for everything! My to-do lists are very important.

Becci Brown said Absolutely, have lists for everything.

Amanda Maria said Absolutely! Not just for blogging but for life in general.

Mellifluous said  I don't have a to do list for blogging, but I do keep lists of ideas.

Carina Chung said YES! lists help so much!

MsMistry said Completely! I couldn't live without my lists. Having an organiser is essential.

Katie said yes!!!! I love my lists! I have a list for everything.

5. Do you spend more time on your blog than you though you would when you started?

Simona Elena said Yes! Def more than I thought and also more than in the beginning!

Becci Brown said Definitely. But it's a fun thing to do so that's ok!

Amanda Maria said Heck yes!! but I love it.

Mellifluous said Definitely! I thought it would take me 1/2hr per post but it takes way longer!

MsMistry said  Definitely yes!!!!! It's so enjoyable. I love blogging and connecting with the blogging community.

Katie said Yes. I only started as didn't have enough work now I want to do blogging more than my work.

Carina Chung said OH YES DEFINITELY!! Way more than I thought.

6. Whats your tip for a new blogger to fit everything it?

Becci Brown said Don't put too much pressure, create a schedule you can stick to and be consistent.

Simona Elena said Schedule posts and carry around a notebook to write down ideas anywhere at any time.

Jo said Buy a diary, helps me keep track of things.

Mellifluous said Do your research before you start, I wish someone had told me to take more time to think. Oh and maybe write a few before going live to get ahead of the game!

Carina Chung said My only tip is schedule when you're free.

Thanks so much to everyone that joined me for the chat, it was so much fun and I hope some of the answers given will help some bloggers out there.

One year update

Hey everyone. Well I was going to do a Birchbox post like I normal do but since my blog is now 1 year old I have decided to make a YouTube account so I have made a video on there so you can see what I got. I will put the link below for you.

I thought I would do a wee update for you all instead.

I have really enjoyed the last year as a blogger however I cant believe how much make-up I now have but thats not a bad thing.
I thought I would would find it really hard to be a blogger because I am dyslexic and I also have dyscalculia which is the maths version of dyslexia and when I was told I have both I was also told that they make each other worse so because of this I always thought my dyslexia would hold me back from doing things I wanted to do. At first I did find it hard to write about what I thought about a product, I know what I thought about it but I just did not know how to put it in to words and not knowing how to spell a word I was wanting to use did not help. A year on though and I really do think that blogging has helped my spelling and I do find it easier to write about what I think of a product.
When I watched someones review on YouTube or read their blog post I never know how much time was needed to make it. I spend more time on my blog than I ever thought I would but I enjoy it so much. The feeling that I made the pictures and I wrote the review, I put it all together and no one help with the writing is so good. I always read a post a few time before posting it because I just know I would have missed some wee spelling mistake. After posting I would wonder did I explain the product clearly so readers would understand how I felt about it but when I got comments I started to think I did a good post and there is someone out there that likes it. Im not saying I think Im the best blogger in the world, I have only being doing it for a year and I know I still have so much to learn but I do know I am enjoying it and people keep reading it.

If you have ever though about becoming a blogger then go for it. Ye it takes a lot of time but you know what? Its so worth it.

Dont forget the check out my Birchbox UK video for July.

Birchbox UK June 2015

Hey everyone. First I just want to say sorry that this is so late, been rather busy lately and sometimes really life just gets in the way but here is it Birchbox for June.

For the June box we got to pick the design of the box that we got and there was 3 to pick from and I went for this lovely water colour one which is of flowers.

This month Birchbox teamed up with French Sole, a shoe company that makes flat shoes and here is what I got in my box.

The first item I got was this English Laundry No. 7 For Her and at first I was a bit like oh... but that is only because I got English Laundry Signature For Her from Birchbox before and I did not really like it however I gave it a sniff and I have to say I do like this one, it has a sweet fruity fragrance. The full size costs £60.

This is a body lotion from Cowshed and you could get Gorgeous Cow or Knackered Cow. I got Gorgeous Cow so thank you Birchbox. The full size of this costs £20. It has got a strong fragrance but it is nice and it has essential oils which will help to moisturises the skin.

This is a hair oil from Beauty Protector called Protect & Oil which costs £16 for the full size. Birchbox says "this lightweight hair oil not only leaves your hair looking gorgeously glossy but it also protects against UV rays and heat damage."
That all sound good however Birchbox also says it smells amazing and it might just be me but I dont think it dues.

This is Glossy Kiss a long lasting lipstick pencil by Mirenesse which comes is Angel Kiss, Cheeky Kiss or Perfect Kiss. I got it in Angel Kiss and it feels lightweight and very comfortable on the lips. I would be very happy to try the other colour and I love the packaging too. The full size of this costs £17.50.

The last beauty item I got was from REN and its called Instant Firming Beauty Shot and the full size costs £36. Its meant to be a shot of espresso for your complexion, instantly firming and plumping the skin. I think it smells nice but I have not tried it yet.

This reminds me of being a kid in the 90s, I cant believe temporary tattoos are back but I have to say I think its fab. This is a Extra Beauty Bonus from STYLondon and costs £7.99.

And lastly this is a Lifestyle Bonus from French Sole, a shoe bag that matches my box. I do really like it and I think it will be good for going on holiday.

There is some months when I get my Birchbox and think oh well next month might be better but not with this box because Im really happy with everything I got and the temporary tattoos are just fab.

Did you get the June Birchbox? Did you like it as much as I did or did you think it could have been better? Let me know in the comments below.

Inner Me Energise Me

Now Im all for taking vitamins if you are feeling a little bit tired and need a pick me up, I take multivitamins and iron tablets and I really do think they give me so much more energy, if I forget to take them I just about stop working so when I got Inner Me Energise Me tables in my April Birchbox I was really looking forward to trying them to see if they worked.

The pack that I got from Birchbox was a 4 week supply which I thought was really good, I thought after the 4 weeks I would know what I thought of them but I made my mind up about them in the first week, I did take the hole 4 week supply though.

So what did I think of them? And are they really worth £15 for a 4 week supply? Well Im not going to lie I would not recommend this product and I really do hate doing reviews for products that I think are bad but I guess it has to be done, there is no point in me saying I love a product when I really dont and this sadly is one of thoughs times.

For the hole four weeks I did not take my multivitamins and iron table just to see how well the Inner Me tables would work however I was so happy when the 4 weeks were up and I could start taking my normal tables again.

I became so tired on these so called Energise Me tables and I dont think they are worth £15 to be honest I think the cheap multivitamins and iron table that you can get from boots and supermarkets work so much better and they really do give you energy so get them instead and save your money.

Have you tried these? Did you work for you? Leave a comment below.

Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Face Spa

Have you ever felt like your face needed a fast treatment that dues what it says? I'm guessing yes would be the answer but when you have dry and sensitive skin that gets eczema flare up then you will know that its hard to find a product that works fast, hydrates the skin and dues not flare up the eczema.

I have always really like Montagne Jeunesse and when I saw this fabric face mask called Dead Sea Face Spa that says its a 5 minute beauty fix I just had to try it.

On the back on the packet it says "Too busy to take time out? Need to feel pampered and rejuvenated? Let the calming Dead Sea Salt and soothing pressed Seaweed submerge tired, stressed out skin leaving it smooth and re-hydrated."

I loved the sound of the claims it makes but I did wonder if it really could re-hydrate my tired dried out skin in only 5 mins.

When you first take the mask out of the packaging it just looks like wet fooled up fabric, when you unfold it the mask has some holes cut out in it for your eyes, mouth and nose. Putting the mask on your face its cold and refreshing and really nice. I sometimes like to leave it on for a bit longer than 5 mins just to make sure it helps my skin but also because I really like how refreshing it feels when I have it on.

So do I think the claims are true? Well yes I do, when my skin is feeling so dried out and nothing seems to help it this works every time. I always feel like my skin feels so much more hydrated when I use this. I would recommend this face mask and I think its a nice travel size too.

Have you tried this face make? Did you love it or hate it? Leave a comment below to let us all know.

Birchbox UK April 2015

Hey everyone Birchbox time again and its a royally good one this month and that's not just because of the name, it really is a good one this month. I really like getting a Birchbox each month however the last few months have been a bit disappointing but I do think they may have earned some brownie point with this one.

This month some boxes are blue (which is what I got) and some boxes are pink, this is to celebrate the second royal baby.

The first item I got to pick and my choices were Laura Mercier Foundation Primer, Mascara or Eye Pencil and I went for the Mascara. It dues not say how much the Mascara is sadly but they are from £17.50. I tried it for the first time today and I like it so fare, its easy to use and its not leaving my eye lashes feeling crunchy or hard.

I have never heard for this product before but its a 97% natural multi-purpose balm that repairs and nourishes troublesome areas. I have used this a couple for times and it feels greasy but not sticky, Im not really sure yet if its really doing anything to my skin. The full size of this its £19.80.

Im really happy that I got this to try since my hair is so frizzy/curly and long, this costs £14 for the full size. I have already tried it and I feel like it calms my hair like an oil but it dues not feel like an oil, its nice.

I don't wear nail polish that much because of work but this is a Birchbox exclusive and its in the colour Garcia, it costs £7.50.

Now Im sure you all know what this is so there is probably no point explaining it to you but I have never tried it before so Im very happy to get this and I got a muslin cloth with it too. The full size of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish costs £14.

This is a beauty bonus and I'm looking forward to seeing if they work. The pack that I got has a 4 week supply so I'm guessing by 4 weeks I will know if they work or not.
On the wee card I got with my box telling me the price of everything it says this is £10 but I looked it up to see what other products Inner Me makes and I cant find this for £10 only £15, even Birchbox are sealing it for £15 so I'm guessing its just a miss print.

So this was everything that I got in this months Birchbox and I'm really happy with it, if I had to pick one thing that I don't like then it would be the colour of the nail polish.

Did you get a box this month? Did you like it as much as I did or where you a bit disappointed with it? Let me know in the comments below.
