Garnier Miracle Wake Up Cream

Hey guys! Today Im going to be doing a review on the Garnier Miracle Wake Up Cream. Now if you have been reading my blog for sometime now then you would know I really like Garnier apart for the Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Day Cream which I really did think I would like but I really did not.

I really liked the look of this cream which says its for dull and tired looking skin as well as fatigue, ageing, fine lines and wrinkles but I bought it for the dull and tired looking skin claims because I have very dry skin and that can mean my skin can look very dull some days.

When I first started to use this cream my skin did look more smooth, it almost reminds my of a primer like Garnier 5 Second Perfect Blur Primer but I think the primer might be nicer. When I use a face cream I expect it to feel like it working its way thought all my skins layers making it feel soft and well moisturised but this cream feels like it just sits on top of the skin doing nothing but looking like a primer.

So you have put this cream on and you have smoother looking skin but you dont feel like you have put any moisture on to the skin, do you put more cream on? No! This well make everything worse. Im guessing Im not the only one but I have face creams that some days I need to use more of than other days because my skin might be feeling a wee bit more dry so if I put a small amount of face cream on I feel like I can put a wee bit more on. Not with this cream however because this cream starts to go all funny on the skin and leaves you with lots of small white chunks all over you skin and its not a very good look.

This cream has got a nice smell, its a wee bit old fashioned but it is nice. If you do think about trying this cream I think it might be ok for oily skin but I cant see dry skin girls or guys liking it.

Glossybox UK January 2017

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a really good Christmas and New Year. Everything is back to normal now and the shops have got the Easter eggs in already. Im not joking if you have not seen them yet the shops near where I stay have Easter eggs in and I cant be the only person thinking its a bit early, can I?

Anyway lets get on with why we are really here to see this months Glossybox. In this months box there is 4 full size products and 1 sample size product and the idea with this box is that the products are meant to be good enough to eat. So the real question is would I really ever want to eat makeup or skincare?

Nip + Fab - Kale Fix Moisturiser (£19.95): This is the product that came in the sample size and I think its a good size for being a sample, I should get a few uses out of this so I will be able to tell if I like it or not. This moisturiser smells amazing, not sure if I would eat it but it does smell really good.

The Balm - Meet Matt(e) Trimony Single Eyeshadow (£34 for the Palette): The colour I was sent in my Glossybox from this eyeshadow palette is called Matt Kumar and its a really nice colour, its blown with berry/red tones. Im looking forward to trying this shadow out.

Unani - Illuminate Milk Cleanser (£14): I like to use a cleanser that is non-foaming this is because I have dry skin and foaming cleansers can dry out the skin so Im looking forward to trying this cleansing milk. Its got a light sweet scent so I think this cleanser will be good for dry skin.

Vitamasques - Manuka Honey Face Mask (£3.99): A hydrating and moisturising Korean face mask which is made with extracts of Manuka Honey. I think the packaging for this face mask is really nice and modern. Im really looking forward to using this since I love a good face mask.

Hairon - Zero Crease Hair Tie (£3.99): I was sent this in my Glossybox for May 2016 too and I dont really like using the first pack Glossybox sent me and I still have all 3 left so I not to happy about getting this. And no Glossybox plastic hairbands are not good enough to eat.

I do really like this months box, I got a few lovely new things to try but I will probably be give the hairbands to someone. I also dont think I will being eating any of it even though the Nip + Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser and the Unani Illuminate Milk Cleanser smell really good.

Did you get this months Glossybox? What did you think of it? Leave a comment below to let me know.

Thanks for checking out this post.

Birchbox UK January 2017

So its 2017 at last and lets hope its better than 2016 but with a new month there is a new Birchbox and this month Birchbox has gone back to the drawer idea they have done a few time last year and like I have said before I do really like this idea.

In this months box I was sent 5 products, 3 of the products are sample size and 2 of them are full size and I also received a Birchbox Exclusive item.

Lord & Berry - Conceal It Crayon in Beige (£12): This is the Birchbox Exclusive item that I received and its also one of the full size items I was sent. Its not the perfect colour match for my skin but it seems nice and creamy and I think it will be easy to blend so Im going to play around with it to see what its like. Birchbox says it can also be used as a highlighter.

Nuxe - Huile Prodigieuse (From £17): Even though I have dry skin I have never been I big fan of using oils on my face, I dont like the way they feel and I would rather just have a really good moisturising cream so at first when I saw I received an oil I was not feeling all to excited about trying it. However this is not just a normal oil you use on your face because Birchbox says this is a multi-purpose oil that you can use on your skin, body and hair and since I have dry curly hair I will be looking forward to trying this.

Merci Handy - Hand Cream in Cherie Cherry (£4.90): Im sure this will be a really nice hand cream and I will give it a try but if your like myself and have sensitive skin then I dont think this will be the hand cream we will be using everyday because it has a very strong perfume to it and I think this will not be good for sensitive skin. Also the perfume that is in it smells like something an old lady would wear which is fine if your an old lady. However a good point about this hand cream is that it has really nice packaging.

Monu Professional Skincare - Monu Spa Rosewood Reviving Mist (£19.95): This is a rejuvenating mist for the face, its meant to sooth the skin with rosewood, brighten the skin with lemon and nourish the skin with sandalwood. It says its suitable for all skin types but this is also highly perfumed so Im not sure if it would be ok for sensitive skin but Im looking forward to trying it.

Whish - Shave Crave Shaving Cream in Acai Grapefruit (£14.80): This is a non-foaming shaving cream so it should be good for the skin because a lot of products the foam can dry out the skin, this is because of the ingredients company's use to make products foam so if you have dry skin its normally better to pick non-foaming products. Since this is non-foaming it is meant to help you get a close shave without stripping your skin of moisture so this should be nice to try.

Have you tried any of the products that I was sent in my Birchbox this month? If you have please comment below to let me know what you thought of the products that your have tried.

Also if you have any questions about this box then just leave it in the comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks for joining me today, hope you enjoyed it.
