Boots Haul

When I was feeling very ill the other week I needed some retail therapy to try and make me feel better because shopping is going to help get rid of the flu or I would like to think that anyway but I was to ill to go shopping to I bought a few things on the Boots website.

I bought a few things that I was needing like hair spray and hairbands but I did get a few treats.

Boots Essentials Hair Spray (2 for £3): I bought the boots hair spray to try it out because I have tried the Boots Essential Styling Mousse for curly hair and its really good, if you have curly hair you should give it a go. The mousse never leaves my hair feeling crunchy, keeps the curl looking lovely all day and its so cheap for how good it is. This hair spray costs £1.99 but when I bought it the hair spray was on offer 2 for £3 so yes I bought 2 of them.

Boots Thick Red and Black Hairbands (£1): I was running out of hairbands so I think I would get some more since I was doing some shopping, I normal always get black hairbands but my hair is coloured red right now so when I saw the red ones too I had to get them. I dont think I have tried the boots hairbands out before but Im sure they just as good as any other.

Boots Black Kirby Grips (£2.50): Got some kirby grips cause I have lost all my other ones, Im always losing kirby grips and Im sure I cant be the only one.

Scunci Clear Polybands (£2.99): Thought I would get these for a bit of fun and to try out new hair styles.

Boots Ingredients Face Mask - Super Hyaluronic (2 for £3): I have really dry skin so when I saw this new face mask from Boots I thought I would give it a go plus it was on offer when I got it which was nice. I will do a full review on this face mask but I did try it the other night and really liked it, my skin felt so soft and hydrated. I think this face mask is brill and a bargain.

Oh K Face Mask - Avocado (£3): I may have got this face mask just because it looks cute but also cause avocados are meant to be good for the skin. I have not tried this one yet so I cant say if its good or not.

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Conditioner (£10.99): I bought this conditioner because its for curly and thick hair and since my hair is both I thought its worth a try. I would not normal spend £10.99 on a conditioner but if it makes my curls look good then its worth it.

Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Leave-In Conditioner (£12.99): This is a cream leave-in conditioner instead of a spray and it looks like a really good size. It smell really good and Im looking forward to trying it.

Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour and Primer and Clinique Pop Matte Lip Colour and Primer (£16.00): When I ordered these I did not realise these we the same colour. I wanted to try the lacquer and matte lip colours from the colour pop line from Clinique because I have tried the cream one which I really like.

Clinique High Impact Mascara & Chubby Highlighter Deluxe Samples (Free): I got these free because I bought 2 Clinique products. I think I have tried this mascara before but it was some time ago so it will be nice to try it again. The highlighter it a really nice colour and Im really looking forward to trying it.

Have you tried the Shea Moisture Conditioners and the Clinique Colour Pop lippys? Lets me know what you thought of them in the comments below.

Thanks for checking out this post.

Lancome Haul

For Christmas I was given a £50 Debenhams gift voucher, the voucher came with a personal shopper, cup of tea or coffee with a tasty treat in their restaurant and you can also get your makeup done at one of the beauty counters of your choice. As you can guess by the name of this post I picked Lancome for my beauty makeover.

Teint Miracle - 005 Beige Ivoire (£30): I find it hard to fine a foundation that I really like, Im pale with dry eczema skin so normally foundation is to dark for me or its to drying or its makes my eczema bad. The lady at the Lancome counter asked me about my skin and I told her this so she used this foundation on me, it has a light coverage and felt like I had no foundation on. It felt really nice and did not look matte or feel drying so I had to get it.

La Base Pro Hydra Glow (£28.50): This is the primer that the lady used which is an illuminating primer with 24 hour hydration, Im not planning on using this for 24 hours but its good to know its non-drying. A lot of primers are for making your skin matte and smooth but thats not what I look for in a primer. I really like the look when the lady used it on me at the counter so Im thinking Im really going to enjoy using this primer.

Thats everything that I bought but the lovely lady as the Lancome counter said because I am buying 2 products then I also get some free goodies and Im not going to say no to free goodies.

Energie De Vie Sleeping Mask: I have tried this sleeping mask before and I love it so Im so happy to get some more. It leaves your skin feeling so soft, plump and moisturised the next morning. Even though I have dry skin I feel like you dont need to use a lot of this to make your skin feel amazing the next day.

Energie De Vie Smoothing & Glow-Boosting Liquid Care: This is a liquid moisturiser, I have tried this before to but it was only a wee sample I think I did like it but it will be good to try it again to see how much I did like it.

Bi-Facil: Lancome says this makeup remover is non oily and is suitable for sensitive eyes. It looks like a nice cleanser so Im looking forward to trying it. Im happy this is for sensitive eyes since a lot of cleanser hurt my eyes.

Le Crayon Khil - 01 Noir: Although I have not used this long lasting eye pencil yet I think it will have a nice colour pay off. Its always handy to have a good black eye pencil.

L'Absolu Rouge Cream: Im not sure the colour of this lipstick but I had a look on the internet and I think its 368 Rose, its a bright pink. Not sure if Im going to wear this lipstick because its not a colour I would normally go for but Im going to play about with it and hopefully I will find a way to wear it that looks good on me.

Hypnose Mascara - Black: Love the brush for this mascara, I think the mascara is going to be amazing and I cant wait to try it,the only reason I have not tried it yet is because I was wanting to write this post first.

Advanced Genifique Serum: This is a youth activating concentrate serum. I have never found a serum thats made me go wow I need to get this again, I have found ones that I like but none I have fell in love with. It will be nice to try this one to see if I will love it.

Thats everything that I got for Lancome and Im looking forward to trying all my nice new goodies.

Have you tried any of these products yet? Let me know in the comments below.

Glossybox UK January 2017

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a really good Christmas and New Year. Everything is back to normal now and the shops have got the Easter eggs in already. Im not joking if you have not seen them yet the shops near where I stay have Easter eggs in and I cant be the only person thinking its a bit early, can I?

Anyway lets get on with why we are really here to see this months Glossybox. In this months box there is 4 full size products and 1 sample size product and the idea with this box is that the products are meant to be good enough to eat. So the real question is would I really ever want to eat makeup or skincare?

Nip + Fab - Kale Fix Moisturiser (£19.95): This is the product that came in the sample size and I think its a good size for being a sample, I should get a few uses out of this so I will be able to tell if I like it or not. This moisturiser smells amazing, not sure if I would eat it but it does smell really good.

The Balm - Meet Matt(e) Trimony Single Eyeshadow (£34 for the Palette): The colour I was sent in my Glossybox from this eyeshadow palette is called Matt Kumar and its a really nice colour, its blown with berry/red tones. Im looking forward to trying this shadow out.

Unani - Illuminate Milk Cleanser (£14): I like to use a cleanser that is non-foaming this is because I have dry skin and foaming cleansers can dry out the skin so Im looking forward to trying this cleansing milk. Its got a light sweet scent so I think this cleanser will be good for dry skin.

Vitamasques - Manuka Honey Face Mask (£3.99): A hydrating and moisturising Korean face mask which is made with extracts of Manuka Honey. I think the packaging for this face mask is really nice and modern. Im really looking forward to using this since I love a good face mask.

Hairon - Zero Crease Hair Tie (£3.99): I was sent this in my Glossybox for May 2016 too and I dont really like using the first pack Glossybox sent me and I still have all 3 left so I not to happy about getting this. And no Glossybox plastic hairbands are not good enough to eat.

I do really like this months box, I got a few lovely new things to try but I will probably be give the hairbands to someone. I also dont think I will being eating any of it even though the Nip + Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser and the Unani Illuminate Milk Cleanser smell really good.

Did you get this months Glossybox? What did you think of it? Leave a comment below to let me know.

Birchbox UK January 2017

So its 2017 at last and lets hope its better than 2016 but with a new month there is a new Birchbox and this month Birchbox has gone back to the drawer idea they have done a few time last year and like I have said before I do really like this idea.

In this months box I was sent 5 products, 3 of the products are sample size and 2 of them are full size and I also received a Birchbox Exclusive item.

Lord & Berry - Conceal It Crayon in Beige (£12): This is the Birchbox Exclusive item that I received and its also one of the full size items I was sent. Its not the perfect colour match for my skin but it seems nice and creamy and I think it will be easy to blend so Im going to play around with it to see what its like. Birchbox says it can also be used as a highlighter.

Nuxe - Huile Prodigieuse (From £17): Even though I have dry skin I have never been I big fan of using oils on my face, I dont like the way they feel and I would rather just have a really good moisturising cream so at first when I saw I received an oil I was not feeling all to excited about trying it. However this is not just a normal oil you use on your face because Birchbox says this is a multi-purpose oil that you can use on your skin, body and hair and since I have dry curly hair I will be looking forward to trying this.

Merci Handy - Hand Cream in Cherie Cherry (£4.90): Im sure this will be a really nice hand cream and I will give it a try but if your like myself and have sensitive skin then I dont think this will be the hand cream we will be using everyday because it has a very strong perfume to it and I think this will not be good for sensitive skin. Also the perfume that is in it smells like something an old lady would wear which is fine if your an old lady. However a good point about this hand cream is that it has really nice packaging.

Monu Professional Skincare - Monu Spa Rosewood Reviving Mist (£19.95): This is a rejuvenating mist for the face, its meant to sooth the skin with rosewood, brighten the skin with lemon and nourish the skin with sandalwood. It says its suitable for all skin types but this is also highly perfumed so Im not sure if it would be ok for sensitive skin but Im looking forward to trying it.

Whish - Shave Crave Shaving Cream in Acai Grapefruit (£14.80): This is a non-foaming shaving cream so it should be good for the skin because a lot of products the foam can dry out the skin, this is because of the ingredients company's use to make products foam so if you have dry skin its normally better to pick non-foaming products. Since this is non-foaming it is meant to help you get a close shave without stripping your skin of moisture so this should be nice to try.

Have you tried any of the products that I was sent in my Birchbox this month? If you have please comment below to let me know what you thought of the products that your have tried.

Also if you have any questions about this box then just leave it in the comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks for joining me today, hope you enjoyed it.

Lancome Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Beauty Essence

Hey guys! As you have guessed by the name of this post Im reviewing Lancome Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Beauty Essence. Now to let you know I not a big fan when it comes to using a serum before my face cream because even though I have dry skin I hate the feeling of skincare products feeling heavy on my skin so Im looking for something that is light and moisturising and when I use a serum it sometimes feels heavy or sometimes I just dont think its doing anything to my skin and my cream works fine with out it. However when I was in Boots the lady at the Lancome counter talked me in to getting this Beauty Essence which just reminds me of a serum except this serum works.

Im not going to lie when I got home after my little shopping trip I did think why the hell did I buy this, I dont like serums and I have probably just wasted my money. So you can tell I really did not have high hopes for this but since I now have it I thought I really should use it and I must now eat my own words. I guess its true you should never judge a book by its cover.

This serum is like a gel which then melts down in to water when you go to use it. It then sinks in to the skin with out leaving your skin feeling greasy or heavy yet the skin feels moisturised, smooth, soft, plump and looks beautifully healthy. This is suitable for sensitive skin and is for normal to combination skin but since I have dry skin and it works for me then I would say its fine for all skin types.

I think if you have oily skin this would be nice on its own with no other cream since its not greasy yet moisturising and for everyone else I think this makes a really good moisturising serum before your cream.

Have you tried this product? What do you think of it? Let me know in the comments. Or have you tried anything else from this Hydra Zen line?

Thanks for checking out my review.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

Hey guys hope your all doing well. Today I bring you a review of Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm by Clinique, this cleansing balm is a solid balm and its meant to melt in to a fluid when you apply it.

The way I used this cleanser was taking a small amount out and letting it melt in my hands by rubbing them together, I found the balm would melt nicely in to an oil. Once the balm was fully melted which only takes a few seconds I would then start to massage it on to my face.
This cleansing balm removed my make-up really easily and my normally hard to remove mascara was no match for this cleanser, the mascara was fully removed with not problems at all.

Now a lot of cleansers can make my eyes hurt really badly but when this go in to my eyes there was no problems at all with it. Dont get me wrong it did feel a bit odd getting oil in to my eyes and my vision did go a bit funny cause I could not see through the oil but thats only for a few seconds but over all it did not hurt and for me thats a big plus.

Once you have applied this to your skin and removed all your make-up with it then all you have to do is wash it off with some warm water and then pat your skin dry. Patting your skin dry is really important especially if you have sensitive skin because if your rub your skin dry with a towel it can cause irritation and your skin can lose its elasticity after years of rubbing even if you dont have sensitive skin.

Once you have gently washed this cleanser off and patted your skin dry, your skin should feel so soft and hydrated but not oily and greasy. I did not feel like this cleansing balm striped my skin for any moisture like some cleansers do.

Clinique says with is suitable for all skin types and I totally agree.

Have you tried this cleansing balm from Clinique? What do you think of it? Or are you thinking about getting it? Please leave your thought in the comments below.

Dont forget to follow by e-mail so you dont miss any new posts, the link it at the top of the page on the right.

Thanks for checking out my review.

MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencil

I dont know about you but it feels like every make-up company is bring out a new jumbo lip pencil, thats not a bad thing because some of them are really good and I use them all the time but we now have a newbie to the group of jumbo lip pencils, MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencil.

This jumbo lip pencil is a twist up like any other jumbo lip pencil. On MAC's website they say that you will get the colour and shine of a gloss and the precision of a lip pencil. I agree with them about the colour and shine of a gloss but Im not so sure about the precision of a lip pencil claim because the tip is rounded not pointed and thats fine for the light shades but if you have a darker shade it might be a bit harder to apply it to your lips and keeping it tidy.

This jumbo lip pencil is comfortable to wear, its thick but not sticky and its moisturising too. I really do feel like after wearing this my lips feel more hydrated. I have also not had any problems with this feathering and thats always good if you are wearing a darker colour.

The colour that I bought it coloured Kittenish, Im not a big fan of lighter lip colours or even nude lip colours I just dont think they look good on me but this colour is so nice. To me its an everyday colour and its so easy to wear, the colour is pink with just a wee hint of berry.

If your thinking about treating yourself to a new MAC lipstick then I think you should check these out first. They cost £17.50 so they do cost a wee bit more then the lipsticks but I think they are really worth checking out.

Have you tried MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencil? What do you think of them? If not are you planning on buying one? Please comment below to let me know.

AllBeauty.com Haul

I am in a bit of a love/hate relationship with allbeauty.com. I love them because they almost always have a really good sale on and their prices are so good but I hate them because they almost always have a really good sale on and their prices are so good so I end up sending to much money but on the other hand I might be spending more money than I planned to I like to think that Im saving money in the long run since its prices are really good.

So I had just been paid from work and I was checking my E-mails and found an allbeauty.com E-mail telling me they had a sale on for skin care and I really do like my skin care so obviously I had to go and check it out.

Yes I did end up buying make-up as well but I have been looking for these eyeshadow palettes for some time now. I have been hearing they are dupes for the Urban Decay Naked palettes and I admit I dont have the Urban Decay Naked palettes but the W7 palettes are really nice and cream and they have a really nice colour pay out so it makes my think why pay so much for an Urban Decay palette when the W7 palettes are so good.

Im still not 100% sure how I feel about this, the cream is really nice and hydrating with out leaving the skin feeling greasy but if Im going to spend so much money on something I would like it to feel and look expensive but for me this just dues not. The cream itself like I said it nice but again I dont think its so nice where I believe its worth so much money.

I have not tried this yet so I cant comment about how I feel about it but I have swatched it on my hand and it feels creamy and smooth, the colour I got was light and its pinky/peach so it should be really good at hiding under eye dark circles. On the back of the box it says there is oat extract in it and oats are really good for the skin. The packaging is plastic yet nice and simple and for the price of it Im happy with it.

I have been wanting to try GlamGlow for sometime now but at £49.99 its a lot of money just for a face cream and then what if I did not like it so when I saw it on allbeauty.com for £33.95 I just thought why not Im probably not going to get it any cheaper. When I first saw it in its blue box I was surprised because I thought it was going to be smaller and yep it was small, its a lot of packaging for 50ml but it looks beautiful, worth ever penny and the cream is so good to. I would pay £33.95 again for it but £49.99 I dont know its alot of money but it is a fantastic cream.

Finally I have got Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat. It looks and feels expensive, the produced leaves your eyes looking brighter and more awake. I still have some testing to do with it but Im really like it right now.

If you have tried any of the products I got please leave a comment below, I would love to hear what you think.

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed.

Birchbox UK June 2015

Hey everyone. First I just want to say sorry that this is so late, been rather busy lately and sometimes really life just gets in the way but here is it Birchbox for June.

For the June box we got to pick the design of the box that we got and there was 3 to pick from and I went for this lovely water colour one which is of flowers.

This month Birchbox teamed up with French Sole, a shoe company that makes flat shoes and here is what I got in my box.

The first item I got was this English Laundry No. 7 For Her and at first I was a bit like oh... but that is only because I got English Laundry Signature For Her from Birchbox before and I did not really like it however I gave it a sniff and I have to say I do like this one, it has a sweet fruity fragrance. The full size costs £60.

This is a body lotion from Cowshed and you could get Gorgeous Cow or Knackered Cow. I got Gorgeous Cow so thank you Birchbox. The full size of this costs £20. It has got a strong fragrance but it is nice and it has essential oils which will help to moisturises the skin.

This is a hair oil from Beauty Protector called Protect & Oil which costs £16 for the full size. Birchbox says "this lightweight hair oil not only leaves your hair looking gorgeously glossy but it also protects against UV rays and heat damage."
That all sound good however Birchbox also says it smells amazing and it might just be me but I dont think it dues.

This is Glossy Kiss a long lasting lipstick pencil by Mirenesse which comes is Angel Kiss, Cheeky Kiss or Perfect Kiss. I got it in Angel Kiss and it feels lightweight and very comfortable on the lips. I would be very happy to try the other colour and I love the packaging too. The full size of this costs £17.50.

The last beauty item I got was from REN and its called Instant Firming Beauty Shot and the full size costs £36. Its meant to be a shot of espresso for your complexion, instantly firming and plumping the skin. I think it smells nice but I have not tried it yet.

This reminds me of being a kid in the 90s, I cant believe temporary tattoos are back but I have to say I think its fab. This is a Extra Beauty Bonus from STYLondon and costs £7.99.

And lastly this is a Lifestyle Bonus from French Sole, a shoe bag that matches my box. I do really like it and I think it will be good for going on holiday.

There is some months when I get my Birchbox and think oh well next month might be better but not with this box because Im really happy with everything I got and the temporary tattoos are just fab.

Did you get the June Birchbox? Did you like it as much as I did or did you think it could have been better? Let me know in the comments below.

I now have Instagram so please go and check that out, Im also in Facebook and Twitter.

You can also send me an e-mail if you want at reviewsbybecky@outlook.com .

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you liked.
