Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

Hey guys hope your all doing well. Today I bring you a review of Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm by Clinique, this cleansing balm is a solid balm and its meant to melt in to a fluid when you apply it.

The way I used this cleanser was taking a small amount out and letting it melt in my hands by rubbing them together, I found the balm would melt nicely in to an oil. Once the balm was fully melted which only takes a few seconds I would then start to massage it on to my face.
This cleansing balm removed my make-up really easily and my normally hard to remove mascara was no match for this cleanser, the mascara was fully removed with not problems at all.

Now a lot of cleansers can make my eyes hurt really badly but when this go in to my eyes there was no problems at all with it. Dont get me wrong it did feel a bit odd getting oil in to my eyes and my vision did go a bit funny cause I could not see through the oil but thats only for a few seconds but over all it did not hurt and for me thats a big plus.

Once you have applied this to your skin and removed all your make-up with it then all you have to do is wash it off with some warm water and then pat your skin dry. Patting your skin dry is really important especially if you have sensitive skin because if your rub your skin dry with a towel it can cause irritation and your skin can lose its elasticity after years of rubbing even if you dont have sensitive skin.

Once you have gently washed this cleanser off and patted your skin dry, your skin should feel so soft and hydrated but not oily and greasy. I did not feel like this cleansing balm striped my skin for any moisture like some cleansers do.

Clinique says with is suitable for all skin types and I totally agree.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius

Hey everyone hope your all well. Today I'm going to be reviewing Heel Genius by Soap & Glory for you guys. On the front of this foot cream is says Better than a pedicure?! Well since I have never had a pedicure because I dont like feet or people touching my feet (I know Im weird but its just a thing that I dont like) then I cant say if its better than a pedicure. The cream also says its an Amazing foot cream marvel which I think is high claims.

On the back of this cream it says Feet should be friendly, soft, smooth, even lovely to look at. Massage a generous layer of Heel Genius on to clean feet every night (or at least as often as you remember) slip cotton socks on and let it soak in while you sleep.

I have to tell you the truth I did not put socks on when I used this because I dont like wearing socks in bed so the way I used it was by massaging some of the cream in to my feet before bed. The cream melts in to the feet leaving them feelinf soft but not greasy or sticky so if your like me and dont like the feeling of something on your feet when your in bed then you might like this.

Every time I used this foot cream I always noticed a difference in how soft my feet felt the next morning, they are always less dry and the yucky hard bits on the bottom of my feet feel so much softer and less hard.

The cream is a mint green colour in some lights and light blue in other lights with a minty smell. Its also thick but a little will go a long way.

Have you tried this amazing foot cream marvel? What do you think of it?
Or do you fancy getting it to try? Let my know in the comments below.

Goodbye Winter. Hello Summer. Skin Care Tips For Spring and Summer

Spring is in the air every where you look around..... Sorry think I might have got the words wrong there I think its meant to be love is in the air but anyway its true spring is in the air and the sun is starting to show its face more and warm days are coming which is what we have all been waiting for. However when the weather changes so should our skin care routine so here is some tips that will hopefully help you out in the warmer days to come.

1. SPF - Picking the right day cream is always important but when we are moving in to more sunny weather its even more important. When your picking your day cream make sure its got a UVA and UVB protection, its always important even in the winter for your day cream to have a UVA and UVB protection because the sun is still shining in the winter. Now if your wondering why do you need UVA and UVB protection well I will tell you. There is 3 types for rays altogether UVA, UVB and UVC. UVA is bad for the skin because it can cause skin ageing and wrinkles. UVB is the ray that cause sunburn which can permanently damage the skin over time but this ray can also cause skin cancers. UVC never gets to earth because its stopped by the ozone layer and this is really good since its the strongest ray of all of them but for now I dont think we really need to worry about it. So if your day cream has got a high SPF then the better its going to protect your skin from the sun.

2. Exfoliate - To making sure your moisturiser gets the chance to really help your skin its a good idea to exfoliate because there is no point getting a new fab face cream if your just going to put it on to a layer of dead skin. Exfoliating is so good for the skin, whenever I exfoliate my face I always feel like it looks brighter and your new SPF day cream can get right in to your skin to keep it looking moisturised and protect it from the sun. When your picking an exfoliator make sure its not to harsh because this can damage the skin and it can cause micro-tears and irritation so try and get a gentle exfoliator with ingredients like brown sugar. Its a good idea to exfoliate 1 or 2 times a week however everyone's skin is different so if you feel like you need to exfoliate more than that then go head but no more than 3 times in a week because you can end up damaging you skin and removing the protective barrier that your skin has.

3.  Cleanse - Since its not good to exfoliate your skin ever day then its a good idea to cleanse your skin instead. A good cleansing routine can help make your skin look brighter and healthier. Cleansing at night is also so important to get all that SPF day cream off your skin because even though its your skins best friend during the day its not something your skin wants to be wearing when you sleep because it can clog you pores and cause spots and thats not something any of us want. Just spend 1 or 2 minutes massaging your cleanser in to your skin in upwards motions and then rinse away with warm water but make sure its not hot water which it bad for the skin.

If you can think of any skin care tips for spring and summer then please feel free to leave them in the comments below.
